Radio Competitions: Rules, Terms And Conditions

Welcome to Spur Kids’ Birthday Competition. Terms & Conditions. The below has been created to give every radio listener a fair chance at winning, as well as to abide by South Africa’s Lotteries rules and regulations Act. These rules apply when Ultimate Media / Radio Competitions is the proxy on behalf of the radio station and/or client for prize management purposes.

The Spur Kids’ Birthday Competition is conducted by Spur Steak Ranches in partnership with Ultimate Media and 947, KFM, ECR, JAC, OFM, ALGOA FM, HEART FM.

  1. The ‘Promoter’ is _SPUR in partnership with Ultimate Media.
  2. The ‘Radio Station’ refers to: 947, KFM, ECR, JAC, OFM, ALGOA FM, HEART FM.
  3. To enter, listeners must WhatsApp the keyword ‘SPUR’ to 066 050 6830 and follow the instructions.
  4. Entries must include a voice note from a child telling us how old they are and what they love most about Spur.
  5. Weekly winners will receive a R1000 Spur voucher.
  6. If the winner or their parent/guardian is a registered Spur App member, they will receive an additional R1000 voucher.
  7. Winners will be called and put on-air during the selected show. If a selected winner cannot be reached or does not answer, another winner will be chosen, and the original entrant will forfeit their prize.
  8. Winners will be verified before/after prizes are awarded. Proof of Spur App registration may be required to claim the bonus voucher.
  9. Winners will be contacted directly by Ultimate Media and/or the participating station to process and arrange prize delivery.
  10. During this process, winners will be asked to verify their identity (by sharing a copy or photo of their valid identity card/book or driver’s licence).
  11. Vouchers will be dispatched within 6–8 weeks of winning.
  12. Winners must be South African residents aged 18 or older (parents/guardians entering on behalf of a child).
  13. By entering, parents or guardians give Spur and 947/KFM/ECR/JAC/OFM/ALGOA FM/HEART FM, the right to use their child’s name, age, and voice note on-air, online, or for related promotional use.
  14. Prizes are not transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  15. You are not eligible to win again within 90 days on the radio station or in any other Spur competition. This will be verified.
  16. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. Spur and 947/KFM/ECR/JAC/OFM/ALGOA FM/HEART FM, reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
  18. By entering, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions and the station’s standard competition rules.
